Industrial DNA — 15+ years of plant experience.
We build software because we know plants — not the other way around. Andreas Babel spent eight years as technical operations lead before founding BS-Systeme in 2010.
Data brings clarity — but the people behind it make it effective.
Seven people from three worlds stand behind BS-Systeme: industrial electronics and PLC programming, software engineering and IIoT platform development, customer project leadership and energy consulting. We speak the language of your plant and we listen before we act — whether you are a machine builder, a facility manager, or an industrial operator.
From more than fifteen years of plant practice: what we hold onto even when a project gets tight.

We speak Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, and REST/HTTP — regardless of the brand on the equipment. No favorite vendor, no lock-in.
Your PLCs stay where they are. We connect to them instead of replacing them — your plant keeps running while we onboard the data layer.
What we learn at your plant goes into our documentation and our knowledge portal eco2know. The next project moves faster — and your team operates the platform without us in the loop.
"I never wanted to start a software company. I wanted to solve problems I had lived through myself."
The idea for BS-Systeme grew out of plant reality. Andreas Babel spent more than 20 years as technical operations lead in various plants. The same picture, over and over: the data was there — but no one could really use it. Paper notes, spreadsheets, systems that ran next to each other but never together.
In 2010 he drew the consequence and founded BS-Systeme. With full vendor independence. And with the ambition to achieve a lot with little overhead.
Today BS-Systeme is an established player in energy, process, and machine-data management — with modular software, open interfaces, and a team that delivers solutions where other tools stop.
As a member of the federal committee on energy efficiency at the German Council of Economic Advisors (Wirtschaftsrat), Andreas Babel brings industrial reality directly into political and economic decision-making. Our goal: to put you in a position to steer and improve your energy and plant processes on your own.
Our office is in Zorneding, east of Munich, in one of Germany\'s densest industrial regions: machine building in eastern Munich, food manufacturing in Lower Bavaria, electronics production toward Wasserburg, retail chains and facility portfolios along the S-Bahn corridor.
That proximity matters. We are often on site faster than a remote hotline — and in a discovery meeting, you sit at the table with the industrial master or the founder, not with an account manager.
Seven people from three worlds stand behind BS-Systeme: industrial electronics and PLC programming, software engineering and IIoT platform development, customer project leadership and energy consulting. These three worlds talk to each other every day. That is exactly why our solutions work in the plant and not only in a demo video.
We grow slowly and deliberately. We read applications ourselves — when you write to us, no chatbot replies.

When you talk about plants, we talk about plants. When you talk about balance sheets, we talk about ROI. No buzzwords, no marketing fluff.
Every project starts with a discovery meeting — on site or by phone, always with someone from the team, never with a salesperson.
We do not collect data for the sake of collecting it. We make it visible so you can decide — and in the end, what counts is the euros on the invoice and the hours in the plant.
BS-Systeme builds vendor-independent industrial software — IIoT platforms, energy management portals, and production-management apps. We connect machines, energy meters, and ERP systems through open standards (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, REST) and add an AI-driven control layer on top of the data we capture.

Yes. We are independent of hardware manufacturers and certified for over 500 interfaces. Our customers keep the equipment they already operate (PLCs, sensors, gateways) — we connect to it instead of replacing it.
Andreas Babel founded BS-Systeme in 2010. Before that, he spent eight years as technical operations lead at industrial plants and started his career as an industrial electronics technician for automation systems. The founder background is the reason our software is built around real plant constraints rather than around abstract enterprise architecture.
Direct project work in English. Cloud-hosted IIoT platform (eco2lot) in EU data centers, English documentation, English-speaking project leads. For multi-site rollouts we work with system integrators in the target region.
